Mt Lemmon

Mt Lemmon was not on the list of places to visit. I had never even heard of it. It’s so off the grid that we had to buy the guide book at a used book store, and it was in the locked case with rare books. No, I’m not kidding.

The climbing on Lemmon was not the best. I’m sure there are hidden gems, but we didn’t find any. What we did find was a super cool drive up a winding road that covers several thousand feet of elevation, lined on both sides with some of the most unique formations I’ve seen anywhere.

We spent a couple days picking our way around with our limited information and got in enough pitches to make the visit worth it. Mt Lemmon checks in as not worth a specific trip, but worth the visit if you’re in Tucson for a few days.
