Road Trip – Bellingham

I didn’t start mountain biking until I moved to Utah, so the only experience I have with mountain bikes in Washington is driving through on my way to Canada. But, this trip gave us an awesome opportunity to check out some classic zones as well as just-built trails on the western half of the state.

After Index, Jen and I went over to Bellingham for a couple days so we could hang out with our friends Toni and Misti and get the guided tour of local areas. It was pretty impressive. The trails there were definitely worth all the time spent driving up from SLC, and we didn’t even get past their after-work rides.

Ferns!
One of the great things about riding in the Northwest is that most trails have water somewhere, so you can carry less than you would in the desert.
