Road Trip – Cutthroat Pass

Although I’ve spent a good amount of time climbing in the North Cascades, I’ve never ridden a bike there. In fact, I didn’t even know you could ride a bike there. So, when Toni and Misti recommended that we ride Cutthroat Pass, and the map showed it to be just a ridge line over from Liberty Bell, we were stoked.

Honestly, the bottom section of the trail was pretty meh from a riding standpoint, but the top was simply amazing. The above-tree-line alpine single track is straight out of Whistler or Revelstoke. If you’re driving over the North Cascades Highway and there’s a bike in your car, do not miss this one.

Going up…
And up…
This was a really long climb.
But the views were pretty amazing.
Jen and Murphy on top where the trail intersects the PCT.
Finally some down. Alpine single track for the win!
Every corner had a new awesome landscape.
Murphy was stoked.
And more down.
Jen getting loose in some tech.
Murphy found a sweet creek to cool off in. I love seeing a happy puppy dog.
