Bikes and Bees

As is tradition, Jen and I loaded all our bikes and climbing gear into the van, drove for two days, and found ourselves on the West Coast of Canada. Our first stop, also a tradition, was Martin and Nicole’s house on the North Shore.

Nicole has been out with a knee injury and was holding down the house, but Martin was able to show us around for a quick ride down CBC and Cambodia, both of which were awesome. Luckily, Jen has been putting a lot of work into her tech riding, and it paid off big time here.

After riding, Jen got talked into donning a bee suit and helping Martin check on the hive. She got an up-close look at the inner workings and a crash course in all things beekeeping while I stood back and took photos. Then, we ate honey.
