Moderate Linkups

Jen is usually a one-and-done type of person when it comes to multi-pitch climbs. But today was different for some reason. After a lazy morning we took a lap up Skywalker, a five-pitch 5.8 that we’ve done several times before. At the top, I asked Jen “You wanna run down and do another lap?” I was joking, but she said yes.

So, I just played it off like I meant it, not wanting to interrupt her stoke. We hiked down, re-racked, and finished the afternoon with Spirit of Squamish, an eight-pitch 5.8 on the same wall next to the waterfall. The only bummer of the day was that the falls were raging, so we could not hop into the pool at the top like we normally do after a climb. And after 13 pitches of sun-facing climbing, we could have used a dip in the glacial-fed water.
