2022 Parma Team Match

Right before I left for Canada, Tim Ramberg and Evan Tisler invited me to join their team for the Parma Team Match, which happened to be the weekend after I got back. I’ve been wanting to do this match for years, and their team has won it a whole bunch of times, so despite the bad timing I was stoked.

While I did show up with working guns that were zeroed, and ran as hard as I could to tag the next guy on relay stages, I did accumulate 50% of our total penalties, and shot a squad-mate’s really nice bag (which I did pay for). Despite all this, we got the W and had a ton of fun the entire weekend.

If you’ve never shot this match, you absolutely have to. There are basically no rules: Want to shoot your Creedmoor on the spinner? Fine. Want to stage a shotgun with slugs? No problem. You think that position would be better shot with a tripod? We staged 6 on one stage and used them all. Instead of “how do I best do this with three guns?” It’s “How do we best do this with all the guns that everyone owns.”

Huge shout out to Aaron Goodfellow for putting on this awesome event Liberty Lubricants for supporting it. And of course huge thanks to Tim and Evan for inviting me. It as awesome shooting with you two.
